IF YOUR STATE REQUIRES YOU TO SEND YOUR BALLOTS BY MAIL:
1. EASIEST? AIRMAIL You do need to pay postage from overseas. The return envelope says ‘U.S. Postage Paid’, but below it says: ONLY if mailed within the U.S.
2. EXPENSIVE and FAST Some people use DHL, FedEx or other services.
3. VIA THE US EMBASSY You can drop your ballot at a U.S. Consulate or Embassy, or mail it to them.

The US Embassy in Sarajevo has indicated that you can hand ballots to the Embassy guards at the Consular Entrance Mondays & Wednesdays 10-12. BAFA recommends to return ballots via the Embassy at the latest by October 5 to ensure timely delivery.

They will send it by diplomatic pouch (to the State Dept in DC, where it will be put in the U.S. Mail). Once in the U.S., the pre-paid postage envelope will work.

Step 1: Make an envelope for your voted ballot & print label:https://www.fvap.gov/eo/overview/materials/forms

Step 2: Place it in another envelope, and either send it to your local Embassy/Consulate, or take it there.
